Charter Schools

Has anyone noticed that the President has basically said that if you don't support charter schools in your state you cannot maximize the stimulus money. Why hasn't the legislature discussed some kind of charter school legislation? Today they are not allowed in ND. I can see merit in places where we have chronic low achievement...Where we have transient populations and where we have concentrations of at-risk students. The rules we have to follow today are not at all flexible and a charter school approach on a limited basis wouldn't hurt especially when there is money available to help....!
